The Atlanta Hawks have signed rookie free-agent shooting guard C.J. Anderson, a league source told Amico Hoops on Tuesday.
Anderson is 6-foot-6 and went undrafted out of Massachusetts. The Memphis native averaged 10.6 points in 32 games as a senior with the Minutemen last season.
The Hawks later confirmed the Anderson signing in a news release.
Senior Night will be one to remember. UMass will always be a place I can call home. Thank you all who have helped me along this journey. Blessings 🙏🏾☝🏾 pic.twitter.com/MBF9mVk5ci

Anderson is the son of Cedric Anderson, who played college basketball at Tennessee Tech. C.J. is likely headed to the Erie Bayhawks, the Hawks’ affiliate in the G-League.
In a related move, the Hawks announced they have waived forward Isaac Humphries.
The Hawks open the season a week from Wednesday at the New York Knicks.
