Woman riding on cart while drinking wine from Pringles tube barred from shop

Police in Texas received a rather strange call about a woman riding around outside a supermarket while drinking wine from a Pringles tube.

The woman was noticed by staff in the car park at a Walmart in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Friday morning, the Times Record News reported.

Staff from the shop requested that police officers ban the woman from the store after she reportedly had been drinking wine from a crisps can for several hours while riding on an electric cart.

The incident began shortly after 9am on Friday when officers responded to a call to check on a suspicious person in the car park.

Officer Jeff Hughes, a Wichita Falls police department spokesperson, said police were told by dispatchers that they were looking for a woman wearing a blue jacket and black pants.

Officers were told that the woman was riding on an electric shopping cart and was drinking wine from a Pringles can.

Hughes said police were told she had been riding around in the store’s car park since 6:30am while drinking alcohol from the crisps tube.

When police officers arrived, they found the woman in a nearby restaurant and notified her that she had been barred from the Walmart location.
