Victim of Sunday morning shooting is not immediately identified but is expected to survive.
A man is hospitalized after being shot at a Northeast Portland motel Sunday morning.
Police did not immediately release the name of the victim, who is believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
Police did not immediately release any suspect information, either, but say they do not believe there is a threat to the community.
According to police, on Jan. 13, North Precinct officers responded to the Marriott Residence Inn at 1710 Northeast Multnomah Street on the report of a shooting. Numerous community members reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. A community member also reported being injured by gunfire.
When officers arrived in the area, they located an adult male who was injured. The officers provided emergency medical care and the victim was transported by emergency medical personnel to an area hospital.
Officers did not immediately locate any suspects or suspct vehicles. As officers canvassed the area, they located evidence of gunfire. There have been no reports of property damage as a result of this shooting.
Members with the Portland Police Bureau Tactical Operation Division’s Gun Violence Response Team responded to assume the investigation. Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division also responded to assist.
