Trash Pick Up Rescheduled Due To Snow In Jefferson

JEFFERSON, NJ — Garbage pick-up has been rescheduled in Jefferson due to the impending snow storm expected the morning of Feb. 12.

All garbage pick-ups will now take place on Friday, Feb. 12. Recycling will now take place on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Here is the forecast through Wednesday night:

Today: A chance of snow, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Light northeast wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Snow likely, mainly after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. East wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday: Snow before 10am, then snow and sleet between 10am and 1pm, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet after 1pm. High near 34. East wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain, freezing rain, and sleet, becoming all rain after 10pm. Low around 31. East wind 5 to 13 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow showers, mainly before 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. West wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.
