Trevon Diggs decided to stir the pot on Instagram Saturday afternoon by posting a picture of his brother, Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs,in a Redskins uniform. It’s safe to say Minnesota fans are freaking out because they have no idea what’s going on.
There’s no word on why Trevon posted the jersey swap pic, but being a native of the DMV area, it’s not surprising to see Diggs envisioning his brother as a member of the hometown Skins.Stefon starred at the University of Maryland before being selected by the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. After something of a breakout rookie season for Minnesota, Diggs continued to develop, posting the best statistical season of his career in 2018. The 25-year-old wideout caught 102 balls for over 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns, pairing with Adam Thielen to become one of the most dangerous wide receiving duos in the league this past season. It’s not likely that Diggs is headed anywhere after inking a five-year, $72 million contract extension with the Vikes, but I’m sure it’s fun for those in the greater DC area to imagine one of the better wideouts in the NFL wearing burgundy and gold.
