Powerball results for 03/16/19; did anyone win the $492 million jackpot?

LANSING, MI – Luck was not shining down on lottery players for the Powerball drawing on Saturday Mar. 16 as there was no winner of the $492 million jackpot.

That means the drawing on Wednesday, Mar. 20 will be worth $550 million with a cash option of $335 million. That total places the current jackpot as the 11th largest in history and the 8th largest Powerball jackpots ever.

Powerball winners for Mar. 16:

· While there was no grand prize winner, three players matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million. Those tickets were sold in New Jersey, North Dakota and Pennsylvania.

· The player in North Dakota also played the Power Play option which increased their winnings to $2 million.

· Prior to the drawing the jackpot decreased slightly from $495 million to $492 million.

· In Michigan, one ticket sold won $50,000. That was the largest prize won in the state.

· There were 1,939,899 tickets sold in the drawing that won at least $4. In Michigan, there were 61,289 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing.

Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.
